Small-Signal Modeling and Interaction Analysis of LCC-HVDC Systems Based on Harmonic State Space Theory

High-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology based on Line Commutated Converter (LCC) is widely used in modern power systems due to its numerous benefits. However, as a typical electronic device, LCC-HVDC has caused significant changes the dynamic behavior of largely replaced conventional supplies systems. The interactions among sending-terminal and receiving-terminal system become stronger have some stability issues, but mechanism behind this yet be fully revealed. In order analyze LCC-HVDC, small-signal model modular HSS modeling proposed Harmonic State Space (HSS) theory. Comparison time-domain response with detailed switching shows that can well reflect model. Based model, influence controller’s parameters analyzed, are investigated. Analytical results demonstrate there exists which an system.
